Our Darlings: The Children's Treasury of Pictures and Stories by John F Shaw and Co. London. Hardback, 426 pages

This Victorian hardback is undated but has a written inscription from 1900. It is profusely and beautifully illustrated throughout, including colour plates and vintage ads.

It is in fair good condition:
- the cover has some rubbing on the back, edges and corners
- the spine veneer has split in a couple of places.
- the top front corner has lost its veneer
- Inside the front and back pastedowns have split.
- The inside front and back covers and flysheets have some foxing.
- The front flysheet has some creasing and a slightly tatty edge.
- page vii has a tear on the edge
- The first 12 pages have worn top corners that have begun to flake.
- There are some small dog-ears and small tears on the edges (that don't affect text/pics).
- page 47 has a dent on its edge
- Page 323 has a diagonal crease along the bottom edge.
- Pages 413-7 have small dents on the bottom edges.
